Tim,Daphne,John, & Bon

Left Missoula (after a trip to storage at 1 am to stash and recover stuff for travel) at 8am - a very brief nap in between since we had to finish cleaning the rental. Blue (Bon's car) is at 330000+ miles and travels very comfortably. Now packed with all our belongings for travel and some camping in Baja, our first stop is at our friend's home in White Rock outside Vancouver, BC...actually, just across the border into Canada. Daphne Cant and John Goundrey we have known for several decades (originally, Daphne via bicycling) in fact, we left our vehicle here just before leaving for our 'Eclipse' trip this past summer. Daphne was just returning from two weeks away 'on the job' for the Canadian govt., John had picked her up at the airport.

After catching up and a wonderful dinner (John is an excellent cook/chef) Daphne was in need of sleep since she was 4 hours ahead having flown from Halifax today! We (Bon & I) had exchanged sleep while swapping driving...actually making the trip in less than 10 hours from Missoula, amazing and only a 5 minute wait at the border.

Daphne & John's offspring (Liam, Joey, & Lela) are away at school so our time here is totally devoted to the adult talk about life, lives, and future (some recollections of past when partners wish to make important disclosures...mostly male peculiarities, ha!).
