Attack #1-Pink in Petaluma
16 May - Today's 10k march on Petaluma was the unofficial start of our planned 21 attacks in the next 16 days. Larry picked up Janet and I at the local Save Mart and we convoyed there, stopping to pickup reinforcements (Joanna and Dan) at the McDonald's in Cordelia Junction in Fairfield.

It was a good start to our invasion. It was a little warm but we all enjoyed the march. This weekend was Petaluma's annual May salute to the movie American Graffiti. Most of the movie was filmed here in the early summer of 1972 and our march took us through downtown streets lined with hot rods, candy-colored screamin’ machines and family cars from days gone by. In addition to the car show we enjoyed many yard sales along the attack route.

All of us HOMIES are spending the night in our respective bunks as tomorrow morning we plan to hit the hot dusty trail for Modesto and beyond................

Mission status for day 1 of 16: Completed 1st of 21 scheduled attacks for a total of 8.5 miles on the ground and 92 convoy miles.
