Happy New Year!
1 January - The new year started off with a bang. Actually, it started off with lots of bangs and 3 hours early. Some of my walking buddies and I enjoyed the fireworks in Old Town Sac at 9pm after our traditional New Year‘s Eve AVA 10k walk. I was home and asleep by midnight.

Happy Birthday to Me from Marilyn!
2 January - It was a cold, grey, and hazy day. Perfect for sitting around doing nothing, which is pretty much what l I did until around noonish when I walked over to my daughter’s. I did a load of laundry there and then borrowed her car to do a Wally-World run. She later drove me home and we stopped at Bel Air on the way and she bought me a sandwich for my birthday. It was a great day.

15 January - My month at the RV park ended today and I drove the grueling 4 miles across town to Mary’s house without a break. I plan on parking here for a few days before heading out on Sunday.

16-17 January - I spent most of Friday afternoon geocaching with my geobuddy Lyn from the RV park and we managed to find quite a few of his previous DNFs (did not finds).

On Saturday morning Joanna and I met at Dan's place in Sac, then he drove us to Benicia where we joined the other HOMIES for a great 10k walk on a beautiful sunny spring-like California day.

Saturday evening, my daughter, her mother, and I, discussed the financial situation of sending her to a State College. Best case scenario; She gets enough grants, scholarships, and jobs to pay her own way and I pay nothing. Worst case; I have to park in the desert without food or water for 4 years.
