Re:  Thanksgiving

Thanks for all your e-mail messages, Toby! Just back from Thanksgiving at Mike's where he prepared the turkey and we brought the rest of the dinner, including a birthday cake for Ann. Paul's Friday Harbor family is visiting for ten days so we had quite a crowd including a new friend of Ann's, another Michael. He seemed quite nice and unless he's a secret ax murderer (as Paul said) we're happy for her. Po is in Ohio with his other grandparents on his way back from a circus work experience. The weather is cool but sunny, so the group should be able to visit the zoo, maybe skate and "spread the chaos around". I can tell from your journal that you miss your family and are concerned about their well being in your absence, but this is what you've waited for, planned for so long, you should enjoy it completely without anxieties about the home front. I had a good conversation with Ned the day before Thanksgiving and he was planning to call Dud as well. We'll all stay in touch one way or another. Thanks again for the photos and details of your adventures! Love, Nan
