Life On Wheels With Leonard & Marianne Alaska 2008

Welcome to my trip journal!Please join us on our extended journey from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to The Land of The Midnight Sun. The trip will include, visiting Red Bay, Alabama, for some coach repairs, Quartz digging in Arkansas, Going down in a salt mine in Hutchinson, Kansas, Air Force Academy, Indian Cliff Dwellings, 7 Waterfalls, Pikes Peak by car, these are in Colorado Springs, The US. Mint in Denver for some samples, The Coors Brewery to quence our dry mouths. From there we go to Yellowstone, on to Glacier NP, on to Edmonton, and on to Banff, an on to the ice fields in Jasper NP. Calgary is on the list too. Next stop is Liard Hot Springs to get rid of some of the road grime on us, yeah sure, he he.on to Dawson Creek the true start of the Alaska adventure. Many stops along the way, like Chicken, Tok, and on to Fairbanks, where we hope to take several small planes to Prudhomme Bay and Nome and some places north of the Arctic Circle. Denali is on the list too, and on to Anchorage, and then Homer for some fishing and sand clamming. We leave from there to Steward and Valdez, on to Juneau. Yes I know it is locked in by Mountains, that's why will will be putting the RV on a big boat to get there. On to Skagway, for the return leg back. We head to Vancouver from there, staying for a few days, before coming back across the border in to the GREAT USA. We don't have a route back yet, but we will bw seeing San Diego, of course Las Vegas, and a side trip to Big Bend NP. I was there in '78 by motorcycle and slept in a tent, a little different this time. Home from there, hasn't been determined yet. I hope this gives you some idea of our fantastic journey
