Welcome to our 2012 trip journal!
We finished up our committment as Garden Grove Elks RV Host in March and then took off for the Pacific Northwest. No itinerary, we traveled as we please. Meeting up with friends, attending an Alpenlite Rally, traveling short distances and sitting for a week just taking it leisurely. We are hoping that the deisel prices will be kind to our wallets, but so far our wallets have not been happy.
It is May 2013 as I am writing this. I've been trying to catch up with our journal as we travel. We have some amazing photos of the Oregon Coast, that is WHEN the sun came out. . . we did have to cut inland for a while to get out of the fog. We are solar powered and don't do cloudy every well. This is reminiscent of our very first RV trip in 1982 along Oregon Foggy Coast.
We were up at Silent Valley, our membership campground in the mountains, for the big Halloween Weekend. Then we stayed in Indio until Thanksgiving when we went back in Garden Grove to be with family & friends for the holidays.
