Laos 2006

Judy travel blog
Three weeks in Laos? That was the usual incredulous response to our travel plans. Laos is wedged between Thailand, Burma, China, Vietnam and Cambodia, countries we have already visited. It was like a black hole in our travel experience. So when we found an extensive private tour (www.myanmartravel.net), it seemed like the right thing to do and find out what it is all about. The local tour operator was Laos Youth Travel, youthtra@laotel.com and www.laoyouthtravel.com.
If you are curious or in a similar state of mind, read on and surf to share our experiences vicariously.
The travelogue starts on pg1 with the Feb.7 entry below.
