Year 3B: Mexico/Chile/Argentina |
|
November 2008 - May 2009
We went back to Canada for the summer and were busy throwing darts at a map to help us decide where to travel in Year Four. After careful consideration, we booked a flight to Madrid for the start of a 'Circle The Mediterranean' trip. We learned of a family wedding in Delhi in December so we will escape the cold weather in Turkey for a few weeks in India and Sri Lanka before heading back to the 'Sea' and touring the North African coast.
Year Three:
Over the many years of our marriage, Anil and I have had to make trips to India to visit family as it was almost impossible for them to visit us. As the years progressed, we were able to make stops along the way to India or on the way home and see some of the other countries in Asia. We fell in love with the region and concentrated our travels in the first and second years of our retirement on places we had not seen before.
It was time to head south of the Rio Grande for the first time in our lives. We were looking forward to seeing a whole new continent and to learning some Spanish along the way. Our travels presented us with wonderful sights, amazing foods and unexpected delights.
If you are interested any of our previous journals that describe trips to India, China, Vietnam and Cambodia, please use the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of this homepage to access them. You can also read my current journal for Year 7.
Cheers! Vicki and Anil
