Year Five! Where has the time gone? We retired in the fall of 2006 and envisioned a Five Year Plan, with the fifth year focusing on a camper van tour of Canada and the United States. We figured we would have seen most of the countries we wanted to visit during the first four years of our retirement. Little did we know that we would have only scratched the surface. We invariably stayed longer than we had originally intended in each country we visited. Who knew we would end up staying four months in China in Year Two?

We started the year in New York, then on to Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Egypt and Sri Lanka for December and January. We returned to Thailand and Vietnam after a three-year absence. Our son Raj and his wife Vy joined us for ten days and when they left, my brother David arrived and we toured Malaysia together. This was the first time Anil and I travelled right around the globe together.

Welcome once again to my faithful readers, and a special welcome to those of you who have just joined us. You all inspire me, thank you, thank you, thank you!
