Maire and John's adventures in Ireland and Australia 2005 to 2006 |

On May 14th 2005, I left Australia for Ireland and my Irish sweetheart Marie. On the way I had the suprising pleasure of experiencing the amazing Korean city of Seoul and then the not so surprising nightmare of surviving London's infamous torture chamber; Heathrow airport.
Maire and I set up a cozy home in the exclusive Dublin suburb of Blackrock but living long-term in Ireland was not meant to be. Between me looking for a job and both of us looking for an affordable house to buy, we did manage to also see a little bit of Ireland. A trip to Sweden and Denmark to visit Lars; an old friend of mine was also fitted in.
Alas after Ireland's best summer in 30 years, Autumn arrived with the sad news that I would have to return to Brisbane and my old job. Marie followed me a few months later and just before Christmas we moved into our gorgeous Coolum Beach apartment.
We spent Christmas at our favourite romantic getaway; The Mouses houses in Springbrook and this is where I proposed to Maire. She accepted and now we are looking forward to a lifetime of travels together.
I have recorded some of our adventures in the past year with stories and photographs. This website, soon to be a DVD will be something we can look back on when we are old and grey and say, I remember when with a nostalgic smile.....
