WELCOME to Chapter Two . . .
2010 in a nutshell! We started off the year in Red Bay, Alabama to get some work on our motor home and to enjoy some of the first snow that part of Alabama experienced in over fifteen years!
From there we moved south to Destin, FL where we remained till March when we returned to Red Bay for some more work on the coach and got new tires as well.
It started to be more fun again as we did lots of sightseeing and continued to check off all those beautiful national parks and monuments that are located in every state. Of the 390 national parks/monuments/reserves, etc, we have seen close to 20% of them this year alone. We managed to get through 25 states this year, but would add that 12 of those states were unplanned to visit due to a sudden trip back to the East coast that is written about in the post. But, we are back on track and heading west again. Plan to start off the New Year in Texas with an immediate trip into New Mexico in January.
