This year the Holts venture via Paris to South West France - the Dordogne - and look forward to seeing pre-historic cave paintings and eating duck and fois gras.
From there to the Basque area of Spain on the Atlantic coast where they will visit the Gugenheim museum in Bilbao, San Sebastian and Burgos and anticipate eating excellent tapas and seafood.
A long day of travelling will take them to Palermo, launching place for their 10 day exploration of Sicily - a place they have both long wanted to visit.
They cross by ferry to Southern Italy, visit the Riace Bronzes at the tip of the boot before traveling on to meet up with Hugh and Tash in Tash's father's home village and exploring Calabria, Amalfi Coast, Naples, and Rome with them. Very excited to be seeing them after a long drought of a year and a half.
We look forward to sharing some of the highlights of our travels with you.
