Westward HO Summer 2014

Richard travel blog
Go West Young Man is a famous quote by Horace Greeley. Horace had some great advice. I have been West Many TImes and keep on coming back. This will be a loop that leaves Lancaster Ohio and Returns to Lancaster Ohio October 1 2014. Part of this Trip will be the Rutlader Outpost which is depicted as an Ole West Border Town on the border of Missouri and Kansas.  Between the years of 1838 and 1845 a military road was constructed through the Indian Territory to connect Fort Leavenworth, Fort Scott (Kansas) Fort Gibson (Oklahoma).  This was done to protect the western border of the United States which was the Missouri Kansas line.  The old route has been replaced by Highway 69, and considered the Frontier Military Scenic Byway. Louisburg has a 4th of July Celebration Louis Young Park. Depending on the weather we will make our way toward Rapid City SD and the Black Hills

All motor homes need some service so the next stop will be Volga SD and the MT Fire Safety Company that services our Spartan K2 Chassis. If you look at a map you will see all the areas we will travel on this loop. Hope you enjoy and thanks for riding along with us.
