Welcome to the Benfield's 2011 full-timing adventures. We are Lee and Mary Benfield, originally of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We sold our home and started full-time RVing in October 2006. This year we started the winter in Alamo, Texas and we are presently staying at the Gulf Waters RV Park in Port Aransas, Texas. We left Texas at the end of April and then visited the Painted Churches in Schulenburg, Texas and went looking for wild flowers. It wasn't a great year for wildflowers but we found some. From there we headed to our niece's wedding in Pennsylvania. From there we headed to Iowa to visit family and friends. Then on to a SOITC Rally in Tennessee. We loved the Smoky Mountains and spent some time visiting the area. We also visited the Biltmore Estate which was on my bucket list. Then we home to Iowa in time for the 4th of July fireworks in Cedar Rapids. Then we took our grandson, Jordon, to South Dakota for a little more than a week. Then came back to Iowa to drop him off and went up to Minnesota and a brief foray in Wisconsin before heading back to Iowa to help our daughter move and attend our son's wedding. Then we started south and spent some time at Mark Twain Lake in Missouri and Pamona Lake in Kansas. Then we headed South to Winter Ranch. Sometime in all the criss-crossing of the country, we didn't keep up with our pictures and the journal so we are working on catching up with 2011, but we are keeping current with 2012.
