Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Tag-A-Long. Most people call me Tag for short. My best friends, Dave & Shari, adopted me in Bettendorf, IA on July 29, 2005 and I have been a proud member of the family ever since. I have seen a lot of you when you have visited the Frantzs, but I am the quiet type and you probably never noticed me. I'm the cute little guy that sits on the back of the sofa and just watches, listens, and learns. With some of their friends and relatives, the watching part is tough, the listening part is obscene, and learning is hard to come by.
When I joined the family, Dave and Shari had a motorhome and took me on some neat trips. We went to Colorado and the Rocky Mt. National Park. We went to Dauphin Island, AL and have had great shorter trips around the Midwest. Now we are starting something which I am very excited about. Dave and Shari have sold their condo and retired from work. As Dave says, we are going to be full time homeless trailer trash. Dave and Shari traded their Winnebago for a Montana Big Sky 5th wheel and a Chevy S-10 pickup on steroids. Actually the truck is a Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a Duramax Diesel. The Big sky is 36 foot long and has four slides. The part that bothers me most is the sign on the front of the 5th wheel. It says SLEEPS 2. I getting use to sleeping with one eye open. It's that or getting a pup tent and sleeping outside.
My job, other than being the trusted watch dog, will be taking care of the trip journal. I received this job as Shari says she is retired from Mercy Medical Center and has had enough of the secretarial life. Dave says he is retired (if anyone knows from what, please let me know) and doesn't want no stinken job. Beside, with Dave, I have heard him talk and if he types like he talks, you wouldn't learn anything anyway. Don't expect anything great from me, as I never went to any stuffed dog learning school. I went to stuffed dog obedience school once but I almost flunked out of that. I use the hunt and pecker system on the keyboard and, along with spell check and a good map, we should get along.
