Cross Country Trip
It’s hard to believe that it’s time to hit the road again! We just got home to Oregon in April, after spending the Winter in Arizona and Texas, and it seems like the Summer has gone by in a flash! Dick’s got the travel schedule all typed up; “Big Blue” all greased and watered, and the freedom of the open road calls to us! Those of you that have been following our wanderings, remember our first “trip of a lifetime” across the U.S. in 2007. Traveling throughout this great land of ours was sooo very amazing, we just had to do it again! We’ll visit some states we missed on the last trip; go north from Oregon, through Idaho and Montana; get our first look at North Dakota, northern Minnesota, and Michigan. It will be great to visit with family in New York, Ohio, and Florida, and hope to make some new friends on the road. We are excited to explore the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Kentucky, and Arkansas; and re-visit some of our most favorite places, like New Hampshire, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Charleston, just to name a few. We can’t wait to eat key lime pie in Key West, and on this trip we hope to see more of central and western Florida. We’ll land in Arizona, by way of Big Bend, Texas, my very favorite place; and visit our old friend Yuma again. Probably try and see more of Arizona this trip, and maybe travel around from place to place enjoying the sunshine until it is time to come home in February 2010. One thing is for certain, we know that we can drive across this country a hundred times, never tire of it, and never see all that there is to offer. So please watch us as we travel along, Dick, Lucy-Kitty, and I, and stay in touch, you all! We’ll miss ya! Love from all of us.
