Botswana Safari & South Africa 2015

Lisa travel blog
What another fabulous journey to Africa. From the rich history of Cape Town and beautiful coastal scenery, to the pristine ecosystems of the Okavango Delta and the thriving wilderness of Botswana, we were left with an indescribable connection with nature. Unique mammals and birds that we have never before seen in their natural habitats, life-giving waters of the Okavango River meeting the rugged desert of the Kalahari, and knowing we were journeying through land once explored by David Livingstone and Henry Morton Stanley were all experiences that will live in our hearts and minds forever. We ended our journey in Johannesburg, embedding ourselves in the culture and history of the Apartheid movement, and journeying into the South Western Township (SOWETO area), where the heart of the Apartheid movement truly began, ending racial discrimination across South Africa in 1994!
