Welcome to our trip journal! John and I have had all those discussions about "when we retire" so we knew we were going to hook up the 5th wheel and see America. Our plan has always been to see all the National Parks in the United States (though not all of them on this trip!), plus visiting as many other "must see" sights as possible. This trip will take us from Chuluota, FL -- that's near Orlando -- to Mt. Rushmore, Grand Tetons NP, Yellowstone NP, Glacier NP and other points in the mid west. Then on to a family reunion in Caldwell, Idaho. When we leave Idaho we plan to visit the five national parks in Utah, plus Grand Canyon NP and Petrified Forest NP. Heading south we will make a stop in Roswell, NM and then spend a few days at Carlsbad Caverns. Then a treck across Texas to Fort Worth for a Submarine Veteran's Convention, before we return to Florida.We hope to have great (good) adventures along the way - isn't that what retirement is for? So in the words of Jackie Gleason -- and awaaay we go!
