North to Alaska |

Ok, this is the beginning of our 48 day Alaska tour as a Tailgunner with Fantasy RV Tours. It is our first day in Dawson Creek and we are here on June 1, 2008. We do not leave her until the 5th but this gives us time to fix any problems, pick up the remaining supplies, go to the bank, take pictures, get the laundry done, arrange group pictures, confirm the group dinner, and anything else we need to do before the caravan starts. Three of our caravaners arrived with us today. We have 5 more that will arrive in the next 2 days. Martha and I will get out and start taking pictures tomorrow. I will start inspecting rigs and getting everything taken care of that needs attention in the next couple of days, ie, CB’s that don’t work, screen in the radiators (to protect from rock damage), etc.
Martha has now baked two cakes and one dozen blueberry muffins. They have all turned out great and she is ready for cookies. Everyone is happy with here effort.
Turns out we got a bad Alternator last year and I had to have the spare put on during our stay just before crossing into Canada. When the new tires were put on in Lakeland the tech did not tighten the valve stems tight enough on both my inboard rear tires and I developed a leak. I found a truck tire shop along the way and $45 later I had both inner duals fixed. All is well now.
