2018-Adventures |
|

These entries tell of our travel adventures for 2018 – our fourteenth year.
The highlight of our year was a two-week trip to New Zealand accompanied by our son Jon, Jr. Our guided tour was limited to only 15 people plus our leader. We flew to Auckland a day early to give us a chance to acclimate to the overnight flight and losing a day and a half. In addition to Auckland, we visited four cities and toured both islands from the sea coast to the mountains.
Upon our return, we did our daughter, grandson, doctor, and dentist visits in Olympia, made our annual trek to northern Idaho to visit Sharon’s cousins before heading for Ahsahka, Idaho, to spend two-and-a-half months volunteering at Dworshak Dam and Reservoir for the Army Corps of Engineers.
We ended the year traveling across the country visiting friends in four different cities and ending up in central Florida for Christmas and New Year’s Eve with our son.
