These entries tell of our travel adventures for 2014 – our tenth year. In order to include our entire time in Australia, we are also including the beginning of 2015 until we returned to the United States.

We began the year moving about in sunny Arizona seeking sunshine and warmth before we struck out for Western Washington to plan and make final arrangements for our grandson’s wedding in Hawaii and our year-long adventure in Australia. We returned to Arizona to store our motorhome and flew from there to Hawaii.

The wedding took place at sunset on a beautiful Hawaiian beach. We took some time there to play before we boarded the plane bound for Australia. We arrived in Sydney on April 19 where we purchased a small motorhome in which we traveled. We sold it when we again returned to Sydney in April 2015.

Our journey has taken us up the eastern side of the continent from the state of New South Wales into Queensland. From there we traveled west into Northern Territory and a long side trip south to Alice Springs and Uluru plus Coober Pedy in South Australia. Back north to Darwin and then west into Western Australia to travel down the west coast. Continuing the “Big Circle,” we headed east again along the southern coast for Christmas in Adelaide, South Australia. Tasmania came next followed by Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, back to New South Wales, and home.
