These entries tell of our travel adventures for 2013 – our ninth year.
This year, like every year, we have spent many hours visiting and being visited by friends and family. Since we are seldom in any one place for an extended period of time, it means a great deal to us to see and remain connected with everyone who has been important to us through the years. This year had particular significance because it included a road trip by car from Arizona to Washington to attend the memorial service for our infant great-grandson.

Our travels this year have been confined to the western states of Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and California. Some extended time was spent in the northern part of Arizona in Page Springs, Jerome, Sedona, and Grand Canyon where Jon fulfilled a 60-some year old desire to hike to the bottom of the canyon and back. In Washington, we re-visited a number of places that we have not seen in a very long time and ended the year seeking the warmth of Death Valley.

Also, like last year, we spent most of the months of September through December working 10-hour nights at the Amazon.com Fulfillment Center in Fernley, Nevada, as part of their CamperForce program (last year known as Amazon Elves) helping to fill all your Christmas orders.
